The studio.
A design and construction practice in Bahria Enclave, Islamabad, run on the idea that the people who draw a building should be the people who answer for it.
Who we are
GreenStone is a design and construction practice, not a drawing office with a builder attached.
The practice is led by Abdur Rauf Solangi and works out of Office #208, 2nd Floor, Asian Arcade, Sector C Avenue, opposite the Zoo, in Bahria Enclave. We take on architectural design, interiors and turnkey construction across Islamabad and Rawalpindi — usually all three on the same project, on one contract.
That structure is deliberate. When design and construction sit in different companies, every problem on site becomes a negotiation, and the owner pays for the negotiation. When they sit in the same team, a problem is just something we have to solve before Thursday.
The name is the brief we set ourselves. Solid — the structure is engineered and built to the drawing, because that is the part you cannot fix later. Smart — layouts and services planned around how the building will actually be used. Sustainable — orientation, insulation, daylight and water decided early, while they are still free.

How we work
Four things we will not trade away.
Every one of these costs us something. They are also why our projects finish without a dispute.
One contract, one team
Design, costing and construction sit with the same people. There is no gap between architect and contractor for a variation claim to grow in — and nobody to pass the blame to.
Priced before it is built
A bill of quantities you can actually read, line by line, agreed before we mobilise. If a rate looks wrong to you, ask. We would rather argue about it on paper than on site.
Structure first
Foundations, steel and concrete are engineered and then built to the drawing. Finishes are what you see; structure is what you own for the next fifty years.
Sustainable by default
Orientation, insulation, daylight, ventilation and water. The decisions that quietly decide your electricity bill for the life of the building — made early, when they are still free.
How it runs
From first visit to handover.
No stage starts before the previous one is signed off. That is the whole reason the programme holds.
Consultation
We visit the plot, listen to how you actually live, and tell you honestly what your budget will and will not buy.
Design & drawings
Concept, elevations and 3D views. Then the working and structural drawings a site team can build from.
BOQ & costing
Every item quantified, priced and scheduled. You approve the number before anyone mobilises.
Construction
Grey structure through finishing, supervised by the same team that drew it, with progress you can see.
Finishing & handover
Snagging closed out, services tested, documents handed over — and a defect liability period that means something.
Where we build
Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Based in Bahria Enclave. Close enough to the site to be there the same day when something needs a decision.
